Still Using Firefox 2? Security Updates On Their Way

Given the number of downloads Mozilla secured for Firefox 3 in its first day alone, I imagine there are not too many of the Firefox faithful still running Version 2. For those of you who can't get enough, however, Mozilla on Tuesday released a security update for Firefox 2.0.0.16.

A free download is available right now for Windows, Mac, and Linux at http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older.html. Those who don't download it themselves will get an automatic update notice within 24 to 48 hours, according to a blog post.

Mozilla will continue security and stability updates for Firefox 2 until December 2008, but is encouraging everyone to upgrade to Firefox 3.
