MSI Wind gets its FCC on

We’ve been wondering where the MSI Wind’s been hiding, and it turns out it’s been kicking back with Uncle Sam — the 10-inch netbook just popped up in the FCC. Nothing here we didn’t know, really, but whether you’re into shots of the internals or those oh-so-riveting RF reports,…

The future of Helio is still up in the air — one minute it’s about to be sold to Virgin, the next the Ocean 2 is popping up in videos — and it looks like that week will end with some equally ambiguous news: Helio stores seem to be shutting down. That’s the word according to…

Never heard of Everex? They’re the smallish, low-end PC maker owned by FIC (who we’d guess plus might not know) that makes the Cloudbook (among other things). We only mention them considering a third, even more unfamiliar company, a systems integrator named NewMarket T…

Since 2005, just about everyone that’s ever had a RRoD or upgraded Xbox 360 asked for it, and strangely adequate, our requests have been answered: Microsoft’s pushing out its new web-based DRM tool in lieu of the usual spring Dashboard update. The intention is simple — invent yo…

Uh oh, DXG’s creeping its way up into luxury territory. Earlier that year, we saw the outfit dish out a craptacular $149 HD camcorder, and just a few months back we were introduced to the $169 DXG-569V. Now, it’ll take another Hamilton in order to rightfully claim its ne…

We already told you about Vizio’s new cheap plasmas, but we recently had a chance to witness the 32-inch VP322 in person. The set’s case design is very tasteful, and a welcome departure from the flashy, uber-lit displays we’ve come to expect from Vizio. As f…

Hands On: MakeMeBabies.com

make-me-babies.jpgThere is an unwritten rule. When someone brings an infant your way, you should always say, "Oh, what a beautiful baby." I know. It's not always true. You might even be saying to yourself, "What were they thinking?" Keep it to yourself. Your opinion is not welcome.

Since man has walked upright, the result of procreation has always been a little hit-and-miss. No one knew how the children would turn out until it was too late. Maybe we're better off that way? Now, some of the guesswork is gone with MakeMeBabies.com.

The concept is simple. Take a picture of the potential father and potential mother and let MakeMeBabies mash them up. It only takes a few seconds to get your results which are as easily embeddable as a YouTube video.

I uploaded a photo of myself, then choose Jessica Alba as my mate. Obviously, Jessica had no say in this. The site is loaded with celeb photos to choose from. The result, Geoff Jr., is at the bottom of the page. That's one good looking kid! Jessica should consider me if her current circumstances change. My wife has already told me, "Go for it."

It doesn't always work perfectly. Fergi and I, for instance, are a no-no. Thank heavens I had MakeMeBabies to prevent that tragic hook-up.
