Sadly that I couldn 39 t bundle a user guide of this release together with the product since Maeroris doesn 39 t have much time to work on it and I already promised to release it in middle of this month which seems to be late already To be frank this version is mainly the same to previous ones except quot Aero Glass without WindowBlinds quot and quot WinFlip quot featured with overall improvements such as

Ability to save transforming information for later uses and unattended transformation

Optoma reveals superabundance of DLP projectors

Truth be told, we’ve no qualms with a company unveiling nine new DLP projectors at once, but it is a wee bit overwhelming. From the top, we’ve got Optoma’s 720p HD65 ($999) and HD71 ($1,299), which aim to please HT enthusiasts and deliver 1,600 / 2,400 lumens, respectively, and offer up HDMI 1.3, c…

Big Packers/Cowboys Game Tonight Available Online (Sorta)

nfllive.jpgTonight, the (10-1) Green Bay Packers behind the suddenly rejuvenated septuagenarian, Brett Farve, face off against the (10-1) Dallas Cowboys in one of the biggest regular season games in years. The rabid fan bases of these two seminal professional football franchises have been looking forward to this game all year; too bad most of them won't be able to watch it.

The NFL, in all of their infinite wisdom, has decided to air the game on its NFL network, which is unavailable to millions of cable viewers around the country. Time Warner and Charter, two of the countries largest cable providers, have refused to carry the NFL network. So what is a fan to do?

The NFL has put together an online package that will allow fans to watch some of the game online and follow along with stat updates and analysis. They stop short of fully streaming the game but promise to provide "exclusive live game action, early and often". It's better than nothing and they've even partnered with Sprint to take the show mobile.

If you can't watch the game on TV, check it out at NFL.com/live.

Learn More About Your Drivers with DriverView

DriverView - Screenshot

Most IT pros will tell you that one way to make sure all of your peripherals and computer accessories are running properly is to keep their drivers up to date. But how do you know how old your existing drivers are? DriverView can help. This lightweight application is designed to do one thing: display the names and basic information about the drivers on your computer.

DriverView's strength is in its simplicity. Instead of wading through properties screens and the device manager, running the risk of changing something you didn't mean to, DriverView gives you one application to open that displays all of the drivers--including Windows default system drivers--that are installed and active on your system.

The app is lightweight and completely free. It works on Windows NT, 2000, and XP, and is a stand-alone program, so you can copy it to a flash drive and take it from computer to computer. Simply run the app, and a window appears displaying the drivers, the driver address, the version number, the date the driver was created, the company that created the driver, and a basic description of the device driver. You can double-click on a driver to get even more information, or export your driver list to a file. Unfortunately, the tool doesn't download updated drivers for you, and doesn't give you a way to find updated drivers from the manufacturer.

Because DriverView only does one thing, it's both an asset and a liability. The tool would be more useful to people comfortable upgrading and reinstalling drivers if it allowed you to manage your drivers, remove them, or install new ones. ...

Napster Mobile: Worst Music Service Ever?

Filed under: Review, music - 29 Nov 2007
napster mobile As PC Magazine's Mobile Devices analyst, I see a lot of lousy user interfaces. But the "Napster Mobile" system I just tried out on a new AT&T phone might be the worst. It's a shameful, hideous abomination, unworthy of the decent Napster name, and possibly unworthy of the noun "service."

AT&T probably knew what a dog they had; the service is completely buried on the phone, under a generic link marked "Shop Music." Click on the link and you get a rather incomprehensible, bland, unformatted WAP page that doesn't mention Napster until after the first screen.

Here's something odd, by the way. You see that "Napster Mobile" interface on the left side of my blog post? The actual site looks nothing like that. It looks badly kerned, spaced out, ugly, and there's a typo on the "My Downloads" sub-page. Then the pain really began. Clicking on any link created a minute-long delay, if I didn't get a "connection failed" error. When I went to search Napster's library, I was dumped into an ugly form where it was unclear how to fill in the single search field.

Finally poking through several ugly, slow screens of search results, I went to download an "Afghan Whigs" song. And: Error. "Contentdeliverrequestsexception."

Supercalifrgailisticexpialidocious! It turns out that, yes, my account had been charged and a version of the file sent to my e-mail account - but there was no way to download it to the phone.

That happened twice. When I finally did manage to download Fountains of Wayne and Dave Gahan songs for $1.99 each, I was treated to some awful-sounding compressed files with the sort of "splashing" sound on ...
