Rollover Beethoven 2.0: the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic to Rock Second Life

Talk about your skewed demographics--while its largest competitor, There.com, busies itself lining up appearances by The Beastie Boys, MIMS, Lilly Allen, Korn, and the Beastie Boys, Second Life is taking a decidedly more...sophisticated approach, lining up a virtual gig with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

Slated for September 14th, the appearance is being promoted as the "first professional music concert in a virtual online world," according to the BBC.

In lieu of applauding, concert-goers are being asked to rattle their Linden dollars.
